Aledo - James E. Doonan, 93, of Aledo, formerly of Reynolds, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Brookstone, Aledo. Funeral services were 11 am Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church. The family greeted those in attendance at the conclusion of services. Burial was private at Edgington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in care of Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church or the Edgington Cemetery Association.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Luella; sons and their spouses, Steven (Pam), Denis (Shelly) and Mark (Stephani); four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and another great-great-granddaughter on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and sister.
