Thelma Robbins
Aledo - Thelma A. Robbins, 91, of Aledo formerly of Keithsburg, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center, Aledo.
Visitation is Saturday, May 8th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at First Christian Church, Keithsburg. Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Due to restrictions, masks and social distancing are encouraged… the family also request that everyone be mindful of personal space by limiting hugging. Memorials may be left for the family. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.
Thelma Ann was born January 31, 1930 in New Boston, Illinois the daughter of Roy Clifford and Dorothy Vianna Taylor Finch. She attended Keithsburg schools. On October 11, 1947, she married Clarence Fredrick "Poodle" Robbins in Aledo. They were married until his death in July 1990. Thelma worked as a bartender and cook at local bars/restaurants. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, doing crafts and puzzles as well as playing bingo and cards.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Clarence "PeeWee" (Susan) Robbins of Marshall, Missouri, Viola (Duane) Swank of Abingdon, Illinois, Melvin (Carole) Robbins of Keithsburg, Illinois, Kathy (Danny) Nylin of Keithsburg, Illinois, Debbie Williams of Keithsburg, Illinois, Peggy (Keith) Henry of Roseville, Illinois, Melissa (Evan) Seefeld of Aledo, Illinois, Dodie (Mike) McCulley of Grandview, Iowa and Josie Boughton of Keithsburg, Illinois and step-son: Larry Robbins of Keithsburg, Illinois; 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and siblings: Don Finch, Edna Fields, Patty Brock, Rodney Finch, Leah Finley, Gary Finch and Roy Allen Finch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters: Rose and Candace, step-son: Gary; step-grandson: Tony and 5 siblings.
