Thomas J. Moseley

Taylor Ridge - Thomas J. Moseley, 80, of Taylor Ridge, died Monday, May 10, 2021 at home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday, May 17, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Taylor Ridge. A rosary will be recited at 2:30 pm Sunday, May 16, 2021 followed by visitation from 3-6 pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Burial will be at Edgington Cemetery. Memorials in care of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Tom was born in Rock Island, Illinois on March 15, 1941, a son of John R. and Mary R. Van Iseghem Moseley. He went to a one room school for eight years prior to attending Alleman Catholic High School, class of 1959. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years.

Tom married Jeanette Acker on May 29, 2010 in Reynolds, Illinois.

Tom was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed taking care of his cattle and building things. He also enjoyed bowling, eating ice cream, especially root beer floats and traveling with his wife to Florida and Branson, Missouri. Tom served four years on the Edgington Township Board. He loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Moseley, Taylor Ridge; daughters, Diane (Eric) Coulter, Joy and their children, Grady, Wyatt, Adda, Paige, Riley, Derek and Mason and Lisa (Jesse) McGown, Illinois City and their children, Conrad, Vivian and Margot; siblings, Leo (Susie) Moseley, Reynolds, Kenneth (Eileen) Moseley, Taylor Ridge, Sister Kathleen Moseley, Lockport, Margaret McManus, Taylor Ridge, Evelyn Parchert, Andalusia, Mary Lou (Richard) Bridge, Taylor Ridge, and Pauline (Roy) Swanson, Yates City; and four god-children, Jennifer, Michelle, Ross and Chance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Elizabeth Moseley, niece, Rachelle Brown and brother-in-law, Vincent McManus.
