Donald Tippie
Keithsburg - Donald D. Tippie, 90, of Aledo, Illinois formerly of Keithsburg died Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Mercer Manor, Aledo.
Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 28th from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, Keithsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for Keithsburg Fire Department or Keithsburg First Christian Church.
Donald was born January 30, 1931 in Hopkins, Missouri the son of Charles A. and Irene Early Tippie. He attended Keithsburg schools. On January 6, 1951 he married Norma J. Pullen. For many years, the couple lived in Naples, Florida, then later traveled between Illinois and Florida… but, Keithsburg was always "home". Donald retired from Local 150 Operating Engineers. He had been a member of Keithsburg Fire Department. Donald enjoyed riding motorcycles, driving semis and operating heavy equipment.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 years: Norma, children and their families: Doris (Mark) Bell and their kids, Melinda (Brian) Cumberworth, D.J. Sheriff, Dalana (Tanner) Schmidt and grandkids, Drew, Elizabeth, Elisha, Jordon, Carter, Donald Ray, Payton, Bennett and Braxten; Donald Jr. "Bub" (Deanna) Tippie and their kids, Donovan (Danielle) Tippie and Shaun (Rebecca) Tippie and grandkids, Derik, Carson and Cannon; Brenda (Chris) Neeld and their kids, Terry (Stacey) Neeld, Tony (Bonnie) Neeld, Travis (Emily) Neeld and Tamala (Matthew) Parchert and grandkids, Breanna, Christopher, Michael, Larissa, Madelynn, Keatyn, Sheldynn, Kylee, Kaycee and Kenedee and Judy (Jeff) Smith and their kids, Meridith (Scott) Steines and Alison (Eric) Maubach and grandkids, Caitlynn, Griffen, Noah, Parker, Layne and Hayden, as well as great great grandkids, Haili, Ealiyah and Raelynn. He is also survived by his sister: Evelyn Christie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
