Aledo - Lloyd E. Johnson, 86, of Aledo, Illinois died Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at home.
Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Aledo Cemetery. Memorials may be left for the family. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.
Lloyd Ellis was born May 18, 1935 in Aledo, Illinois the son of G. Arthur and Nellie Sproston Johnson. The Aledo High School graduate went on to work at Farmall and as a part time farmer. On June 4, 1953, he married Betty Thompson in Aledo. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Betty; children: Carla Center of Okeechobee, Florida and Steve Johnson of Livermore, Colorado; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Laverne and Juanita.
