Matherville - Ralph Corwin, 88, of Matherville, Illinois died Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Mercer Manor, Aledo.

Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family, benefiting the Matherville Fire Department. Dennison Funeral Home, Viola is assisting the family.

Ralph Eugene was born December 13, 1932 in Cable, Illinois the son of Carl and Alberta Hartman Corwin. Ralph was raised by his grandparents, Maude and Si Hartman. He worked at Farmall for many years before a disability retirement in 1967. In his free-time, Ralph enjoyed drinking beer, hunting and fishing. He was a real people person.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Randy Corwin of Portland, Oregon and Bobby Corwin of Walla Walla, Washington; 5 grandchildren; sister: Sis Miller of Matherville and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sons: Ralph Jr., Kenny and Denny and a brother: Bud.
