Aledo - Sandy Lantau, 71, of Aledo, Illinois died Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Mercer Manor, Aledo.

Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded. Visitation is Saturday, November 20th from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service, at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Millersburg Cemetery. Memorials may be left for Mercer County V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Sandra Ann was born February 5, 1950 in Aledo, Illinois the daughter of R. Wayne and Marie M. Morey Duncan. She graduated from Aledo High School in 1968. Over the years, Sandy had been a special education school bus driver and worked at Pizza Hut in Moline and East Moline. She later cleaned the Viola Post Office and Viola grain elevator. Sandy was a dedicated, 48 year member of Mercer County V.F.W. Post 1571 Auxiliary, having served as the Auxiliary District President. For many years, Sandy ran the bar and kitchen at the V.F.W. In her free-time she enjoyed quilting. Her greatest joy was time spent with family, especially attending her grandkids activities.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Todd (Debbie) Lantau of Taylor Ridge and Devin Lantau of Columbus Junction, Iowa; granddaughters: Crystal, Rachel and Shelby; great granddaughter: Nichole; brother: Dennis (Trudy) Litwiler of Aledo as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
