Aledo - J. Larry McCreight age 88, of Aledo, Illinois died Monday November 22, 2021, at the Genesis Medical Center in Aledo. Funeral services are 11:30 AM Saturday November 27, 2021, at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial with Military Rites will be in the Aledo cemetery. Visitation is from 9:00 AM to service time Saturday at Fippingers where memorials may be left to the Aledo United Methodist church. Online condolences can be made at fippingerfuneralhome.com

Larry was born June 28, 1933, in Aledo to Fred and Edna Riddell McCreight. He graduated from Aledo High School in 1951. On September 27, 1953, Larry was united in marriage to Marian Bonynge in Aledo. She died in 1988. He married Clara Scott McCleary February 20, 1993, in Aledo.

He was employed for many years as a Feed and Seed Salesman at Mer-Roc F.S. in Aledo and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aledo.

Larry and Clara enjoyed wintering in Florida and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, enjoyed doing yard work and in his younger years was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Clara, 3 sons, Bryan McCreight of Sarasota, FL, Butch (Kim) McCreight of Milan, Il Bruce (Lori) McCreight of Brimfield, IL, 8 grandchildren Kyle, Kevin, Brittney (Chris), Tyson, Marcus, Shannon (Cedric), Grant (Tatyana), Morgan (Brent), 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, Clara's Children, Sue (Wayne) Larson of Mountain Home Arkansas, Patti (Jeff) Baldwin, Doug (Babbi) McCleary all of Aledo, grandchildren, Kelly (Jason), Mike (Deanna), Mark (Stephanie), Todd, Lindsi, Matthew (Monica), 12 Great Grandchildren.

His parents, wife Marian, two sisters Irene and Dorothy and four brothers, Vern, Robert, Clarus and Delmar preceded him in death.
