Jacob Nylin
Joy - Jacob Edwin Nylin, 35, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at his home in Joy, Illinois.
Cremation has been accorded. Visitation will be held at First Christian Church, Keithsburg on Friday, January 7th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service. The family asks those attending to dress casual and wear your favorite sports team apparel. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.
Jake was born September 20, 1986 in Iowa City the son of Harold Jr. and Natalie Doss Nylin. He was a 2004 graduate of Westmer High School. Jake worked for Liqui-Grow as a mixer operator. Throughout his school years Jake enjoyed playing softball and hardball. He loved to watch football and baseball, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Natalie (Mike) Russell of Aledo and Harold (Kim) Nylin of Keithsburg; brother: Tony (Kylee) Nylin and nephew: Connor; step-sister: Michelle (Mike Dahl) Russell; grandma: Jerry Nylin; step grandma: Marcy Finch; many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his beloved cats: Kat and Cub.
He was preceded in death by several grandparents.
