Gaynor "Granny" Charlene Meredith
Aledo - Gaynor "Granny" Charlene Meredith, 65, of Aledo, IL passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Genesis East in Davenport, Iowa. Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family in the spring. Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo is in charge of arrangements.
She was born October 18, 1956 in Galveston, Texas to Horace and Gladys Ryan Meredith. Granny graduated from Blackhawk College Phi Theta Kappa in January 2005 with multiple degrees in the medical field.
Granny was a member of Solid Rock Church in Sidney, Ohio, the AmeriCorps – AIDS Project Quad Cities and the Blackhawk Native American Cultural Heritage.
She enjoyed gardening, caring for animals, reading and serving the Lord. Her giving nature and love for everyone who knew her made her their Granny.
Survivors include two daughters, Samantha McCoy of Sidney, Ohio; Sabrina (Scott) Earl of Aledo; four grandchildren, Evelyn "Evie", Isaiah, Sierra, Remington "Remy"; two brothers, Wayne Meredith of Buchanan Dam, Texas; Royce (Hope) Meredith of Dover, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and one sister, Paulette, along with numerous kin preceded her in death.
