Louie W. Wood
Aledo - Louie W. Wood, 83, of Aledo, Illinois, passed away at home on February 16, 2022, with his daughter and granddaughter at his side.
Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
He was born in Jonesburg, Missouri in 1938, to Lannie and Dessie (Strange) Wood. He graduated from Bunceton High School in 1957. He married Judith Gilmore in 1959. She passed away in 2016.
Louie was an avid sportsman, anything outdoors and he was there. He was a "jack of all trades" and there was nothing he couldn't build or fix.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Shelley and Cara; granddaughters, Heather and Samantha; a sister, Gladys Diffenderffer; a very special friend, Cora Wisdom of Gladstone, Missouri, a nephew, Robert Wood of New Waverly, Texas; a niece, Becky Thackrey of Santa Fe, Texas; his little dog, Gizmo; and his ornery cat, Peanut.
