Elizabeth A. McKinney

Elizabeth A. McKinney, 70, of Aledo, IL, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Unity Point - Trinity in Rock Island.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services, Aledo. Pastor Darren Larkin will officiate. Burial will be at the Peniel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Ann was born April 16, 1952, in Washington, IN, the daughter of Elza and Loretta Swain Kendall. She married Ricky Joe McKinney December 2, 1977, in Petersburg, IN.

She graduated from the Nursing Program at Vincennes College and practiced in her field until the birth of her son, Joshua. This is when she began her favorite job of all, full-time Mom.

She was a member of the Freedom Assembly of God Church in Davenport, IA. She enjoyed studying the Bible, listening to Southern Gospel music and taking care of her little dog, Zoey.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Rick; one son and his wife, Joshua and Kim McKinney of Bettendorf, IA; and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, Simon and Ella Kendall; and maternal grandparents, Orval and Lura Swain.
