Janice Stoner

Janice Stoner, 79, of Viola, Illinois died Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15th at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery. Memorials may be left for the family.

Janice was born February 17, 1944 in Moline, Illinois the daughter of Kenneth and Kathryn Louck Amsbaugh. The 1962 graduate of Rock Island High School went on to attend beauty school. In 1962 she married Nicholas Grevas, they later divorced. She married Dennis Stoner in 1981. Janice worked as a beautician, then worked for nearly 20 years as a CNA at Mercer County Nursing Home. Janice enjoyed dancing, arts and painting, and reading. She loved to meet new people and visit.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband: Dennis Stoner; children: Nicholas Grevas, Alaina Grevas, Kathryn Stoner, and Christopher Stoner; grandchildren: NaTosha Peterson, Nicholas Grevas, Theodore Grevas, Kerrigan Nipper, Kaitlyn Nipper, and Louis Nipper; 8 great grandchildren; and siblings: Tom Amsbaugh and Beverly Amsbaugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Louis Grevas, and sister: Audrey Atkinson.
