Jana Leone Shotwell, 60 of Springdale passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born November 22, 1960 in Muskegon, Michigan to Jesse Leon Swager, Sr. and Leona Nichols Swager.

She graduated from Orchard View High School in Muskegon, Michigan in 1979 and went on to attend Park University in Parkville, Missouri where she met her husband of 38 years, Richard (formerly of Joy, Illinois). Then she went on to attend National American University to receive her associate degree as an Information Specialist in 1998.

Jana was a homemaker. She loved camping, fishing, and traveling with her husband. They loved to take day trips together. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and arts and crafts. She played the flute and accordion. She was a talented singer and member of Blue Ridge Bell Choir, and also loved to act. She was ordained to the office of Teacher in Community of Christ church.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Shotwell of the home; two sons, Thomas Shotwell of Independence, Mo. and John Shotwell of Blue Springs, Mo.; two daughters, Leona Stout and husband Tommy of Lee Summit, Mo. and Ashley Shotwell of Springdale; one brother, Jesse Leon Swager, Jr. and wife Donna and one sister, Diana Sieting and husband Richard; one aunt, Betty Cousineau of Michigan; six grandchildren, Isaac, Lilly, Peter, Teagan, Leigha Stout and Conner Shotwell.
