The Furry Friends Petting Zoo will visit the Mercer Carnegie Library Thursday, June 16 at 10 am. This Summer Reading Program event will bring 15 to 20 animals to the Library and will consist of information on each animal with question and answer time. The later half of the program is a "hands on" portion where the children are allowed to touch and pet the animals. A list of animals that may come are as follows: Llama, fainting goat, mini horse, pot bellied pig, whitetail deer, chinchilla, ferrets, hedgehog, salamander, peacock, lizards, frogs, toads or geckos.

The following Summer Reading Program events will be June 23 at 2:00 a Laura Ingles Wilder Program;

June 28 At 10:00 a Fire Safety Program; and on July 7 at 10:00 the “I like to Read” Music Show.

Events are free, open to the public and no registration is required to attend.
