Illinois State Fiddle Contest

 The 47th annual State Fiddle Contest hosted by the Illinois Old-Time Fiddlers Association will be Sun. October 16, 2011.

This event will be held at the Thelma Keller Convention Center in Effingham, starting at 1:00 p.m. Admission cost is $5/children 8 & under admitted free.

They are striving to have contestants of all ages and from all areas in the state of Illinois. Their goal is to preserve the old time fiddle music and to pass it on to future generations. If you are a fiddle player, check this out and consider joining the contest!
