Acrobats of Cirque-tacular at Augustana

Augustana College hosts the acrobats of Cirque-tacular The Show in an amazing display of aerial acts, body balancing and more on Saturday, August 27, at 8 p.m. in Centennial Hall (3703 7th Ave.).
The show is open to the public. Cirque-tacular’s talented team of artists, designers and technicians work together to create an unforgettable performance of pageantry, spectacle and skill.
Cirque-tacular acrobats have performed live throughout the world and appeared on major television networks. Their art has reached millions of viewers via David Letterman, Good Morning America, HBO, Fox, MTV and Nickelodeon.
“Due to the immense success of The Golden Dragon Acrobats last year and Augustana students demonstrating interest in the performing arts, the Office of Student Activities decided to bring a similar production to campus,” said A.J. Nice ’12, executive director of the College Union Board of Managers (CUBOM). “Cirque-tacular offers students and the community a chance to experience a fresh and lively look at the performing arts, while seeing death-defying feats of entertainment.”
General public tickets cost $8. Tickets are available at the Augustana Ticket Office, 3703 7th Ave., Rock Island, during regular business hours. Or they can be charged by phone at (309) 794-7306 or purchased online at www.augustana.edu/tickets.
