Monmouth College Theatre Announces Christmas Carol Auditions
Continuing a holiday tradition that stretches over 35 years, the Mon-mouth College Theatre and the Buchanan Center for the Arts invite everyone to open auditions September 21 and 22 for Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
Open auditions will be held on Wednesday, September 21st from 3-5:30 pm and 7-10 pm, and on Thursday, September 22nd from 7-10 pm in The Wells Theatre, located at 9th and Broadway on the Monmouth College campus. No previous experience necessary, and those interested can come in at any time during the auditions.
Director Dr. Bill Wallace of the MC Theatre notes there are over 40 speaking roles in the show, and that carolers, dancers, and people of all ages are needed. “This is a great opportunity to celebrate the holiday season,”, said Wallace. “In the past, we’ve had families participate together, grandparents with their grandchildren, and the College students and the Community have had great fun and created great Theatre!”
Performances of A Christmas Carol will be November 17-19 and will feature evening performances as well as school matinees. Rehearsals will begin the week of October 17th.
If anyone has questions or needs further auditions information, please contact Bill Wallace at 309.457.2374 or email@example.com.
