The New Windsor Christmas Walk is set for 3-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12. "It's always held the second Friday of December," said Teresa Tomlinson, spokesperson for the event.

New this year is a new location for the 7:30 p.m. closing ceremony. "We normally hold it at the old gymnasium at Scribbles," she said, but due to a conflict, the location has changed to The Red Barn, north of New Windsor," she said. This year's closing will be presented by New Windsor Presbyterian Church.

There will be no tree decorating contest at the closing, she added.

Besides New Windsor businesses staying open late that evening, offering refreshments and drawings for gifts, the New Windsor firemen are hosting a Chili Supper, from 4-7 p.m. at the fire station. That's also where Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will be visiting with area children from 5-7 p.m.

The outdoor lighting contest will be judged on Dec. 11th with winners announced at the Christmas Walk closing ceremony.

New Windsor Walk is sponsored by the New Windsor Depot Park committee, New Windsor area businesses and organizations and friends of the New Windsor Depot Park.
