Unity Fest International is Sept. 26 at the Putnam Museum

Unity Fest International 2010 is being held Sept. 26.

The Unity Fest International 2010 is being held at the Putnam Museum in Davenport on Sunday, Sept. 26 from noon until 8 p.m.

This FREE family-friendly event features over ten different ethnic performances, a World Market, and an International Food Court. There will be lots of ethnic inspired crafts and other activities to keep the little ones busy. They especially will want to meet the Bearded Dragon from Australia and visit with the adorable Hissing Cockroaches from Madagascar. Everyone will enjoy seeing "Across the Sea of Time" in the IMAX (standard admission applies).

YOU WILL WANT to eat your way thru Italy, Mexico, Vietnam, India and of course leave room for American original recipes too! This means lunch, a snack or three and dinner too!

Schedule for the day is as follows:

Noon - Zumba Dance/Excercise

12:45 p.m. -  Native American Drumming

1:15 p.m. - Hispanic Folkloric Ballet

1:45 p.m. - Vietnamese Dragon Dance & Fashion Show

 2:15 p.m. - Friends of India

2:45 p.m. -  Philippine Dance

3:15 p.m. - Where in Life African Singers

3:45 p.m. - Lets Rumba!! Fred Astaire Dance Studio presents Latin-inspired dance  

4:15 p.m. - Derrick on the Scottish Bag Pipe  

4:30 p.m. - Amani Dancers; African American Folk Dance  

5 p.m. - The Fiyah; Reggae Band  

5:45 - The High Cotton Blues Band

7 p.m. - RAY BLUE...Internationally Acclaimed Jazz Artist!
