Aledo Main Street progressive dinner is May 1

Aledo Main Street's progressive dinner is scheduled with five restaurant stations providing the meal. First seating for the dinner is at 5 p.m., with a second seating starting at 6:30 p.m. There is a limit of 200 tickets for sale for the progressive meal.

The meal starts out at La BelleVie Wine & Martini Bar with drinks and appetizers (Aledo Meat Market will furnish the appetizers). The next stop is Vitales for salad. The dinner progresses to Liberty Station Steakhouse with either a chicken or pork entree. Miss Effie's Ice Cream & Eatery will furnish dessert. Perks will be serving the after dinner coffee.

The tickets for the Main Street Progressive Dinner are now available from many Aledo Main Street volunteers, at the Main Street office and also available on the website www.aledomainstreet.com. "You can place your ticket purchase on a credit card if buying online and I will make sure you get your tickets," says Pam Myers, AMS executive director. Pam can also be reached at 582-2751, Knox # 582-7985 or my cell 582-4370.

Ticket cost is $50 per person.

Great Ball Drop

Between the first and second seating of the progressive dinner Aledo Main Street is hosting the Great Ball Drop located in the parking area between Perks and Farmers State Bank.

The balls will be dropped from a ladder truck onto a target. Only 300 balls will be sold, with costs of $5 per ball ticket or $25 for six balls. Balls that stay within the target area will be dropped again. During the "final" drop, the ball that is the closest to the target wins $200, the three closest after that will each win $100.

Need not be present to win!
