Weekend Events August 5 - 7

Aug. 5  Aledo Band Shell Cinema @ Central presents the film "Toy Story 3" at dusk at the Aledo Central Park Band Shell on Friday, August 5. Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs. The concession stand will serve hot dogs, popcorn, candy, pop and water. 

Aug. 6  Relay For Life Bake Sale The Midwest Hoots Relay for Life team will be holding a Bake Sale on Sat., August 6 at Walmart from 8 a.m. - noon.

Aug. 6  A Charity Dinner Fundraiser with proceeds benefitting Mercer County Emergency Services and the Mercer County Food Pantry will be held Sat., Aug. 6, 4-7 p.m., at the Aledo Central Park Pavilion. This event is sponsored by the Catholic Men of Mercer County Parishes. Enjoy butterfly pork chops, hot dogs, desserts and more. There will be entertainment in the Band Shell, featuring Myrna Rae Dancers, the Terrill Sisters and Vicki Butler. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Goodwill offerings accepted. In case of rain, meet at St. Catherine's Church Hall at the corner of College Avenue and NE 4th Street.

Aug. 7  The Mercer County Community Band will perform on Sunday, August 7, at 7 p.m. in the Aledo Central Park Band Shell.
