Explore NASA missions, examine a moon rock brought back by the crew of Apollo 17, discover the mysteries of space on the GIANT Screen and more during the Putnam’sAdventures in Space weekend Friday, Oct. 20 – Sunday, Oct. 22! During theAdventures in Space weekend the Putnam Museum will open its doors free of charge to the community as they experience the Journey to Tomorrow exhibit and the museum exhibit halls for this one-time only event.

NASA’s Journey to Tomorrow traveling exhibit immerses visitors in a fun-filled interactive experience, which includes learning stations and engaging activities. Guests will be challenged to think about how aircraft fly; what it’s like to live and work in space; and how the planets orbit the sun.  Current NASA missions are on display inside the trailer such as advanced aeronautics research and our efforts to send future human explorers to Mars and beyond. The exhibit also features a genuine moon rock artifact returned to Earth by the crew of the Apollo 17 lunar landing mission as well as photographs of NASA Glenn Research Center’s early years! The Journey to Tomorrow exhibit is wheelchair accessible making it an enjoyable experience for everyone and will be located in the Putnam parking lot for the duration of the weekend.

TheAdventures in Space weekend is a great opportunity for the community to experience all that the Putnam has to offer and more,” says Kim Findlay, president and CEO. “We are excited to welcome the NASA exhibit for this special occasion.”
