Take a Vintage Stroll around Aledo
Four homes have been picked out for the Vintage Stroll during Antique Days Sept. 13.
Four homes on South College Avenue were chosen for their proximity to each other as well as the relative ease in finding them. Individuals choosing to go on the stroll will have no trouble finding the homes.
"It should be a beautiful time of year," said Pam Myers, program director for Aledo Main Street, the entity which is sponsoring Antique Days. "It should help fund the event as well."
Ticket buyers ($10) can tour the homes in any order between 1-5 p.m. on Sept. 13.
Homes on the stroll are: 1002 South College (Keith and Shari Chandler); 909 South College (Gary and Bonnie Easton); 1001 South College (Wayne and Jackie Caulkins) and 509 South College (Peggy Scranton).
A brief history of each home will be provided to those who purchase tickets to the Stroll.
"We are very grateful to the homeowners for opening their homes for us," said Myers.
Tickets will not be sold at the homes but can be purchased online at aledomainstreet.org or at Knox Heating and Cooling. Stuts Pharmacy, Wagner Pharmacy, McKnight's Pharmacy; Treasure Hunt, Main Street Antiques, Yesterday's Antiques and each of the five banks in town.
