Sarah Elizabeth Sims and Omar Antonio Herrera are Engaged

Announcement is made of the engagement of Sarah Elizabeth Sims and Omar Antonio Herrera, both of Davenport. She is the daughter of Kirk and Sharon Sims, New Windsor.

He is the son of Manuel and Julieta Herrera, Davenport.

The couple will be married at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Salem Lutheran Church, Moline. The reception is 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Rock Island.

Sarah graduated from Sherrard High School in 2000 and Augustana College in 2004. She is currently attending graduate school at St. Ambrose University, Davenport. She is employed at the Rock Island Arsenal.

Omar graduated from Davenport West High School in 2000 and St. Ambrose University in 2004. He is also employed at the Rock Island Arsenal.
