AHS play date changed
Leaving Iowa, a play put on by the Aledo HS Music theory class has been moved to Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium.
Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. The date was moved due to the high school boys' basketball regionals.
Leaving Iowa by Tim Clue and Spike Manton is a hilarious sentimental comedy about family and family vacations. The play has been critically acclaimed and was nominated for best new play in the country by the Detroit Free Press. It is guaranteed to have you laughing and remembering childhood vacations you tried to forget. Leaving Iowa is a postcard to anyone who has ever driven alone on a road to revisit fond memories of their youth.
Actors in the play will include: John Berthel, Michael Kelly, Jessica Pundt and Mary Bodeen. “AHS hasn’t done a play in a number of years and the music theory class is looking forward to performing this play for a great crowd,” said music theory instructor Rusty Ruggles.
Leaving Iowa will be produced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock.
