Aledo FFA makes $2,734 for county charities

Aledo teacher Amy Attig was one of the mounted players at the FFA donkey basketball game.

The Aledo FFA Chapter raised $2,734 for three local charities. The money was raised during chapter sponsored donkey basketball game March 5.

The Aledo FFA chapter is donating all the proceeds of the game to three charities:  The Mercer County Food Pantry, the Aledo Jaycee's Christmas Toys for Needy Children and to the new canine unit of the Aledo Police Department. Each charity will receive a donation of $950 at the annual Aledo FFA Banquet to be held on March 12.

FFA sponsors Mike Chausse and Aaron Heartt said, "Once again thank you to all who helped make the lives of residents of Aledo and the surrounding area better."
