Annual 4-H Charity Open Horse Show set for May 23

A horse show to benefit the New Kingdom Trailriders therapeutic riding program has 35 classes set for all day Saturday, May 23, starting at 9 a.m. Rain or Shine the show will go on at Schone's Friendship Farm, 15711 13th St., Milan with events set for Juniors (13 and younger), Seniors (14-18) and Adult (19 and older).

Entry fees for each class are $4 for 4-H members (card in hand), $5 for non 4-H members, $2 for fun classes.

A $50 high point award ($1 entry fee) will be given for top points.

There will be a lunch stand, a complimentary ice cream social, silent auction and bake sale to help fill the day.

Weather permitting, the trail classes will be judged in an alternate arena simultaneously with other classes between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
