William and Marcia Hickok Johnson celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

William and Marcia Hickok Johnson will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 7 at the New Windsor Presbyterian Church where they were married on June 5, 1949. All are invited to attend the open house luncheon to be held at the C.E. Building from 11:15 a.m.- 2 p.m.

They are the parents of Bruce (LeughAnn), Ashville, N.C., Brent, Big Rock, Beth (Brad) Forsyth, Broomfield, Colo. And Brenda (Leonard), New Windsor.

Grandchildren are Eric, Blake and Megan Johsnon, Braden Forsyth, Brock and Bruant Luxmore.

William served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-46. He has been a NW business man for 62 years in the oil business and owner of New Windsor car wash, serve don the Village Board, Tosnhip Tristee, Fire Department 48 years, Tri County Ambulance Trustee 28 years, Fair Board, American Legion, moline Viking and NW Presbyterian Church elder and trustee. Marcie attended Monmouth College and was employed by Hazell Dell, Winola, and Sherrard Schools and has been a Roar Volunteer since retiring 19 years ago. She is an active member of NW Presbyterian Church, Charter member American Legion Auxiliary, Clara Lodge and a local seamstress and golfer.
