Carlsons celebrate 40th anniversary
Peter and Patricia Carlson of 6822 120th Ave. W. Taylor Ridge, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 20. The wedding was at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Davenport, Iowa. No public celebration will be planned, but a card shower would be welcome.
Peter served with the U.S. Air Force during the war, then worked at Rock Island Arsenal for many years, retiring in the early nineties.
Patricia graduated from A.I.C in Davenport, Iowa, and was employed at the Arsenal secretary in Peter’s department, so she married him, a widower with two small children. The couple built a home in Taylor Ridge where they reside.
The children are Steven (Lori) Carlson, Taylor Ridge; Michelle (Andrew) Berlingeri of Rock Island.
There are four grandchildren: Lucas (Jessica) Carlson, Eldridge, Iowa; Travas at home; Elizabeth Gress of Moline; Coty Gress of Egam, Minnesota.
Two great-granddaughters are Kaelin and Addison.
The couple has membership at Zion Luthern Church, Taylor Ridge.
