Donna Laurie Thurman and Dale Alan Boswell were married on June 27, 2009 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Officiating was Rev. John C. Herberich, friend of the couple. Vocalists were Tyler Steele, nephew of bride, and Maddie Boswell, niece of groom.

The matron of honor was Brenda Steele, sister of the bride; bridesmaids were Marilyn Boswell, mother of the groom and Jenny Boswell, sister-in-law of the groom. The flower girls were Elena Hoffman, niece of the groom, Reese Benson, great niece of the bride, Heather Morrison and Grace Morrison. The best man was Eldon Boswell, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Alan Boswell, John Boswell, Mark Boswell, sons of the groom,  David Boswell, brother of the groom, Roy Steele, brother-in-law of the bride and Bill Thurman Jr., brother of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Pat Thurman of Chattanooga, Tenn. She is employed by Ringgold Middle School in Ringgold, Ga., as a sixth grade teacher. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee of Chattanooga and a master's degree from West Georgia.

The groom is the son of Eldon and Marilyn Boswell of Nevada, Iowa and is executive vice president of 1st Community Bank in Aledo. He has a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University.

The couple will reside at 302 Oakview Terrace Dr., Aledo.

There will be a reception Saturday, July 25 at the VFW, 106 SW 3rd Ave., Aledo. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. and a D.J. will entertain at 7 p.m. All friends are invited to attend.
