Kathryn Briggs' 90th birthday to be observed

Kathryn Briggs, New Boston, will observe her 90th birthday on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Kathryn King was born Oct. 14, 1919, in New Boston. She married Eli Briggs on Sept. 18, 1945. He died in 1983.

Kathryn was employed for 16 years as a clerk at Curtis Grocery. She later helped her husband with farming and corn shelling business.

Kathryn is a member of the United Methodist Church.
