Dave and Sandra Cooper celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Dave and Sandra Cooper will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Aledo Train Depot, 204 SE 2nd Ave. All friends and relatives are invited and the couple requests no gifts.

Dave Cooper and the former Sandra Box married on Oct. 3, 1959 at the Bethany Baptist Church, Moline.

Dave Cooper retired from the John Deere Industrial Works, Davenport, Iowa, in Dec. 1988. He farmed and then worked for Mercer Township, Aledo.

Sandra Cooper retired from the Department of Human Services in July, 2000 and then worked for the Mercer Township Board. They moved to Gilbertsville, Ky. in Sept. 2004.

They have one daughter, Jody (Wm.) Holm of Conway, Ark. and two sons, Randy (Cristina) of Moline and Michael (Melanie) of Maryville, Tenn. They have eight grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

The children and grandchildren hosted a dinner and family celebration in Kentucky.
