Wayne and Cheryl Coyne to observe 50th anniversary

Wayne and Cheryl Coyne, Milan will be honored at an open house Saturday, Nov. 21 from 1-4 p.m. in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary, at the Fellowship Hall of the Preemption United Methodist Church in Preemption. All friends and relatives are invited and the couple requests no gifts.

Cheryl Chard, Matherville and Wayne Coyne, Milan, were married on Nov. 22, 1959, in the Matherville Community Church, Matherville, by the Rev. Chester Chandler.

Their children are Connie (Chris) Gowdy of Moline, Karri Coyne (Shawn Voisine) of Davenport, Iowa and Curtis (Denise) Coyne of Milan. There are three grandchildren, Kelsey and Dalton Coyne and Tyler Gowdy.

Wayne has been a lifetime farmer in Rock Island County and Cheryl retired in 2005 from the Katz Law Firm after 31 years as a legal secretary.

They are members of the Preemption United Methodist Church.
