Auditions open for QC Music Guild production

Auditions are being held this week for a Quad Quad-City Music Guild production of The Pajama Game, which is slated for performance March 25 – 28 at Prospect Park Theatre. Auditions will be held at the theatre at 1584 34th Ave., Moline, Jan. 15, 6 to 8 p.m. and Jan. 16, 1 to 4 p.m. The minimum age to audition for this production is 16 years old at time of auditions. Rehearsals begin Feb. 8.

The cast will be comprised of nine principle roles and a 20-female dance ensemble. A balanced SATB ensemble of approximately eight to 10 men and women is also expected. There are many roles that will be filled from the ensemble. The production is seeking people who can dance well for Hernando’s Hide-away, although all ensemble members will need to be able to move well on stage.

The ensemble will have several production numbers including “Racing With the Clock,” “I’m Not at all in Love,” “Once-a-year Day,” “Slow Down,” “Hernando’s Hide-Away,” “Seven-and-a-half Cents” and “The Pajama Game Closing.”

Please wear appropriate dance attire and dance shoes to the audition  (There is no tap in this show.
