Children flocked to Viola on Saturday, March 27, for the annual Easter egg hunt. Easter hunts were celebrated in many areas this weekend including Reynolds, Joy and Viola. The Viola hunt was sponsored by Viola Area Chamber of Commerce.

Fenton Park near the Aledo Swimming Pool is the location for Aledo's Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 3, starting at 9 a.m.

There are four age groups that will go out in search of eggs: 3 & younger, 4 thru kindergarten, early elementary and older elementary.

The Easter egg hunt is sponsored by Aledo Rotary Club.

Then starting at noon the Mercer County YMCA is hosting an underwater Easter egg hunt, with two sessions. From noon to 12:45 p.m. younger children needing assistance will get into the water to capture floating eggs at the shallow end of the pool.

The second session runs from 1 to 1:45 p.m. for more accomplished swimmers. Cost is members $2, nonmembers $4, with prizes for everyone.
