Rosalee Sproston to turn 80

Family and friends of Rosalee Sproston invite all to come and celebrate Rosalee's 80th birthday with a card shower on Sunday, Dec. 19, from 2 - 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Aledo.

Rosalee was born to Everett and Wilma Baldwin on Dec. 19, 1930. She has two sisters, Joan Frazier of Belleville, Mich. and Jane Krahl of Moline. Rosalee married Raymond Sproston on Dec. 13, 1952. He passed away on May 1, 1999. She graduated from Reynolds Schools in 1948, and from Moline Lutheran school of nursing in 1952.

She retired as a nurse from Mercer County Nursing Home, where she worked from 1984-1994. She and Ray have three sons, Tom (Sue), and Jim from Aledo, and Mark (Marti) from Cambridge. She has six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is a long time member of the First Baptist Church, and enjoys her family, gardening, and her special time with her special friends.
