Ralph Keller, Illinois City, will celebrate his 90th birthday on New Years’ Eve with a supper at home for family members. He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Omer Keller on December 31, 1920 in Drury Township, Illinois.

He and his wife, the former Lila Tomlin, have been married 68 years and live on a Centennial Farm, established by his grandfather. They are proud parents of sons Neal (Barbara) and Monte (Mary) and daughter Janis Reddick; two granddaughters, a great granddaughter, three step grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren and a granddaughter in Heaven.

Ralph regularly attends Illinois City Methodist Church, where he has been a member for 80 years. He has farmed all of his life, and worked for 18 years at John Deere Plow Works in Moline. He’s been a member of Rock Island County Farm Bureau for 70 years, and served on both the Farm Bureau Board and Rock Island County Fair Board. From 1976 to 2005 he sang with two musical groups, the Frank Clark Band and Charles and Friends, that entertained mostly at retirement homes and nursing homes. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and travelling. Now his favorite pastime is reading.
