David Haney celebrates 80th Birthday

David Haney of Aledo celebrate his 80th birthday on Jan. 31, 2011. A family dinner was held Jan. 29. David was born in 1931, the son of Ernest (Pete) Haney and Ethel (Beeney) Haney. He has a sister Neta (Steve) Tagge of Springfield.
He and his wife, the former Beverly Sandquist, are parents of Debra (Garry) Toops, Kathleen Haney and Cheri (Dale) Bloomfield, all of Aledo. There are 5 grandchildren.
David started working at Farmer's Grain and Coal Co. as a feed mill worker in 1955 and retired as president of the company in 1993. He is a member of the Aledo Exchange Club, Aledo United Methodist Church, Oakview Country Club, Buffalo Prairie Masonic Lodge, Valley of Moline Consistory and Mohammed Shrine and the Mercer County VFW.
