Miller and Holstine united in marriage

Natalie Michelle Miller and Russell Lee Holstine were united in Holy Marriage on Aug. 7, 2010. The 5 p.m. Mass at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Anna was officiated by the Reverend Father Steven Beatty.

Following the ceremony, Great Boars of Fire in Cobden was the location of the reception dinner and dance.

Natalie’s attendants were Matron of Honor Michelle Rees, and Maid of Honor Samantha Evilsizer. Bridesmaids were Audrey Tollenear, Megan Bryne, and Treena Ditto. They all wore matching maroon gowns.

Matthew Tollenar was Russell’s best man. Groomsmen included Nick Hird, Ryan Trimble, Matthew Breat, and Clinton Miller, brother of the bride. Ushers were Andrew Stontz, Peter McKenzie and Jeff Hart.

Chelsie Regan attended the guest book.

“Indulge Flowers” of San Diego, Calif., provided the flowers. Owners Chris and Kim Werdenberg, cousins of he groom, designed the beautiful arrangements. The cake was specially made for the couple by Sharla Purnell, Yorba, Calif., aunt of the groom.

A surprise appearance at the reception, a gift from Natalie to Russell, was the SIU Saluki Dog.

Natalie is the daughter of Michael and Mary Jo Miller of Anna. She is the granddaughter of Mary Kula, Anna and the late Joseph Kula, and Floyd and Angeline Miller.

Natalie graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, with a degree in elementary and special education. She is teaching at Alleman High School and Seaton Catholic.

Russell is the son of James and Savilla Holstine of Milan. He is the grandson of Walter and Georgiabelle Holstine, Aledo and Arlowin Paris, Milan and the late William Paris.

Russell graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, with a degree in agricultural systems and environmental science. He is employed by Gray Machine and Weld in Rock Island.

A local reception at Lavender Crest’s Winery on Aug. 22, 2010 was held following the couple’s honeymoon to Jamaica. They now reside in Reynolds.
