Community Choir organizes

The Mercer County Community Choir will begin rehearsals at 7 p.m. June 5 at College Ave. Presbyterian Church, 501 S. College Ave., Aledo. The choir will perform July 4 at the Aledo Band Shell. This is a county effort, so anyone interested is invited to join the choir.

Politicians and citizens alike are looking for an answer to the questions: "What can we do?" and "Is there any hope for our country?" This is small town America, but it is something we can do.

This year's program is titled "From Sea to Shining Sea," a 20-mintye musical that gives a brief, but serious look at our country.
