Jim & Bev Wildermuth to celebrate 50 years together

Jim and Bev Wildermuth of Aledo will be married 50 years on June 8, 2011.

The former Bev Spencer of Viola and Jim Wildermuth of New Windsor were married by Rev. C.W. McCreight in Viola on June 8, 1961.

They resided in Carthage and then moved to the Aledo area in 1964, where they have remained.

Bev was employed by the Aledo School District until retiring in 2009, having worked 30 years. Jim worked several jobs, the last one working for Munson Transportation. He retired in 1991.

Bev and Jim had three children: Brenda Wildermuth (deceased) of California and Iowa City; Julie Wildermuth, Rock Island; and Steve (Danah) Wildermuth, Geneseo; as well as grandchildren Chase and Lawryn Wildermuth.

They will celebrate later in June with a family gathering.
