Warren County 4-H BBQ
The Warren County 4-H Barbecue will be held Tuesday, June 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at the Warren/Henderson County Farm Bureau Building in Monmouth and at Hedding Grade School in Abingdon from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. The menu includes your choice of a BBQ beef or porkchop sandwich, applesauce, chips, homemade dessert, and a beverage. Patrons may eat the meal inside or drive through at both locations.
The Warren County 4-H Barbecue is the only countywide fundraiser for 4-H. This annual event makes 4-H programming possible for all county youth at a minimal cost.
The money raised at the barbecue will be used to support educational programming for local 4-H members. It provides scholarships for 4-H members and leaders to attend regional, state, and national events and is used to purchase project manuals for each Warren County 4-H'er.
Tickets may be purchased for $6.00 ($7 at the door). Contact a Warren County 4-H'er or visit the University of Illinois Extension office at 1000 North Main Street, Monmouth, for tickets.
4-H is the largest youth organization nationwide for both boys and girls, with an enrollment of 383,000 members in Illinois alone. The mission of the youth development education program of the University of Illinois Extension is to help youth learn skills for living.
