Mayor DeFrieze reported to the council that there had been a meeting at the fire station on Saturday, July 23 concerning the fish fry. It was decided that the city will go ahead with it. It will be held on August 27 for one day only. Kids games have been ordered and a parade will be held. The menu is catfish and chicken. There will be fireworks that evening. Music will in the park throughout the day. This will be the 90th anniversary of the New Boston Fish Fry.

On Friday evening, Aug. 26 before fish fry there will be a wiener roast for anyone from New Boston that wants to come. There will also be a movie in the park afterwards. There is no charge for either event.

There will be a meeting at the fire station at 10 a.m. on August 6 if you are interested in helping plan or to work the day of the fish fry. Everyone welcome.
