Christopher Douglas Receives Masters Degree

On Saturday May 14, Christopher Douglas received a Master of the Arts degree in English from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Christopher is the son of Charles and Dawn Douglas, and grandson of John and Francis Blick, all of whom currently reside in Aledo.

Christopher's masters thesis was entitled "Exploring the Role of Animal Narrators in the It-narrative Genre, 1785-1846". This fall, Christopher will continue his graduate studies at SIUC, and will begin the doctorate of philosophy program in English Literature.
