Wagners Celebrate 60th Anniversary

    Louis and Gertrude Wagner of Joy observed their 60th wedding anniversary on July 27. Louis Duane Wagner married Gertrude Eileen Lockmiller on July 27, 1951 at the Aledo United Methodist Church. A reception followed at the Lockmiller home.

    Louis and Gertrude have a son, Larry (Nancy) Wagner, a daughter Miriam (Howard) Hedlund, a granddaughter, Jenna Wagner, grandson Wesley (Heather) Wagner and three great-grandsons, Colton, Dagan and Myles Wagner.

    Lou retired in 1992 from the U.S. Army as a civilian employee. Louis and Gertrude have traveled the U.S. and Canada, often taking their grandchildren with them on summer vacations. In 1977, the Wagners moved from Savanna to their current home in Joy. The Wagners enjoy visiting their family, especially their wonderful great-grandsons.
