Hunts Celebrate 50 Years of Marriage

    William and Carrollyn Hunt of Sparland are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends.

    William Hunt and Carrollyn Mitchell were married in the College Avenue Presbyterian Church in Aledo on August 13, 1961. Carrollyn is the daughter of the late Doris and Loren Mitchell, who were lifelong residents of Aledo.

    William is currently farming with his son, Loren. Carrollyn is retired from the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension Service where she served as an Extension home economist for 40 years.

    They have two children: Loren (Christine) Hunt of Lacon, and Laura (LeRoy) Poignant of Pilot Point, Texas. They also have six grandchildren.
