Garmers to celebrate 60th Anniversary

Shirley and Alan Garmer of Miller, Missouri (formerly of rural Aledo) will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, September 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at  Darla's Room in the Eliza Community Center.  All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

Shirley Sutton and Alan Garmer were married on September 5, 1951 at the Aledo Methodist Church by Rev. Samuel Buck.   The Garmers farmed in Illinois until January 1979 then moved to Miller, Missouri where they continued their Charolais cattle business.   They retired in 2007. 

They are the parents of Stan (Pat) Garmer of Springfield, Missouri; Carolyn (John) Riley of Lewisville, Texas and Sandi (Bill) Tinman of Pleasant Hill, Iowa.   They have 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
