The family of Marjorie Bonynge would like to invite you to join in the celebration of her 90th birthday on Saturday, October 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Aledo Senior Citizen Center, 137 West Main Street, Aledo.

Marjorie was born to Lee and Ruth Swanson, on their farm in Mercer County. She graduated Viola High School in 1939, attended business college, then worked for Nash Finch in Davenport. In 1947 Marjorie married Walter Chard. They raised their three boys in her current home on College Lane. Walter passed away in 1967. Marjorie married Floyd Bonynge in 1968. They celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on a tour of the Oregon Trail. Floyd worked for Alexander Lumber and Marjorie for Dr. Miller, then Dr. Olson. They both became active at the senior center upon retirment. She volunteered in the Mercer County Hospital Gift Shop, was a member of the YMCA and numerous other local clubs.  Floyd passed away in 2010.

Marjorie continues to be an active member of the community and of her church, Hamlet Perryton Presbyterian. She is an avid cook who tries out new recipes, much to the delight of her friends and family. She has two step-grandsons, Chris Holmes  and Jon (Amy) Holms whose children, Jeshua and Grace, are her step-great-grandchildren in California.

Her sons Ernie (Olene) of Carmichael, California; Allan (Kate) of La Grange Park; and Randy Chard of Aledo, look forward to seeing you there.

Your presence is the only gift she desires. Cards may be sent to: Marjorie Bonynge, 702 N. College Ln., Aledo, IL 61231.
