CSC Presents Alfred Hitchcock Film Series
Carl Sandburg College presents The Art of Alfred Hitchcock film series beginning Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 in the Carl Sandburg College Auditorium at the Thomas A. Schmidt Charger Community Center, located at 1160 Buchanan St. in Carthage. The series is being offered as a community education class and will highlight four films. Shows start at 7 p.m. on the following dates:
· “Psycho” on January 20
· “Dial M for Murder” on February 10
· “Strangers on a Train” on March 17
· “Suspicion” on April 14
The April 14 show will be led by Jason Conner, associate professor of theatre and head of humanities at Western Illinois University. Conner also earned his MFA in Theatre at WIU. Conner teaches courses in theatre appreciation, has taught film at Black Hawk College and uses films in his courses to discuss a variety of issues in film, acting, plays and screenplays.
